TM31E 3:1 Online Tower UPS 10–20 kVA
TM31E is an online double-conversion VFI tower UPS, available in 10, 15 and 20 kVA ratings, for sites with three-phase utility input and single-phase critical loads. It delivers PF 1.0 regulated pure sine-wave output with DSP digital control, wide input operating tolerance, generator-compatible operation by configuration and external battery options for extended runtime, and is designed in accordance with applicable IEC/EN 62040 safety, performance and EMC requirements.
Engineered for 3:1 Critical Power
Three-phase input and single-phase output online UPS architecture for sites with a three-phase utility supply and protected single-phase IT, telecom, security or control loads.
3-Phase In / 1-Phase Out
Accepts 380 / 400 / 415 Vac three-phase input and delivers 220 / 230 / 240 Vac single-phase output for critical loads supplied from a three-phase building network. TM31E supports both 3:1 and 1:1 operation by configuration.
Online Double-Conversion VFI
True online double-conversion architecture with IGBT power conversion and DSP digital control provides regulated pure sine-wave output and 0 ms transfer time between online and battery operation for sensitive single-phase critical loads.
PF 1.0 Output & Low Input Distortion
Output PF 1.0 provides full usable kW capacity. Active input power-factor correction delivers input PF up to 0.99 and input THDi as low as 3% at linear load under rated operating conditions, helping reduce upstream current demand and electrical loading.
Wide Input Operating Range
Three-phase input 208–478 Vac and single-phase input 120–276 Vac, with 40–70 Hz auto-sensing frequency, help maintain online operation during utility fluctuations and support generator-fed applications, subject to generator sizing, voltage regulation and frequency stability. Cold-start operation allows the UPS to start from battery when AC input is unavailable.
Parallel up to 4 Units
Selected TM31E configurations support parallel operation of up to four units for capacity expansion or N+X redundancy, subject to the approved model, parallel accessories and project design.
Flexible Runtime & Monitoring
Internal-battery and long-runtime configurations are available by model, with compatible external battery cabinets extending backup time by connected load and required runtime. Communication and control interfaces include RS-232, RS-485, USB, EPO, dry contacts and optional SNMP or relay cards by configuration.
Expand Your System
Optional accessories for runtime extension, remote monitoring, parallel operation and maintenance support – selected according to the TM31E model and project configuration.
External Battery Cabinets
Compatible external VRLA battery cabinets in 40-battery or 80-battery configurations provide extended runtime for selected TM31E long-runtime models. Battery quantity, DC bus voltage, cabinet configuration and charging capacity must match the UPS model, connected load and required backup time.
TM550 SNMP Network Card
Optional TM550 intelligent-slot card providing remote UPS monitoring, web-based access, event notifications and supported network-management integration. Where dual intelligent slots are provided, compatible SNMP and relay cards may be installed together, subject to the selected TM31E configuration.
Parallel Kit
Compatible parallel accessories allow selected TM31E configurations to operate with up to four units for capacity expansion or N+X redundancy. Parallel operation requires the approved model, matching UPS ratings, compatible firmware and the prescribed installation and commissioning procedure.
External Maintenance Bypass PDU
Provides an external bypass and isolation arrangement so the connected load can remain supplied during UPS service or replacement, subject to correct installation, available bypass power and the prescribed switching procedure. Selected TM31E configurations may also include a built-in manual maintenance bypass.
